Timothy Bradley’s clash with Jessie Vargas next month now has a world title on the line.
The fight, which will take place at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, will be for the vacant WBO welterweight title.
Bradley, a former holder of the title, and Vargas will square off over 12 rounds on June 27, live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky channel 437/HD 490, Virgin channel 546 and TalkTalk channel 525) in the UK.
It will also be screened live on HBO in the States.
The title was added to the contest between the undefeated 26-year-old WBA ‘regular’ champion and ‘Desert Storm’, 31, after it was relinquished by Floyd Mayweather, who won it with a unanimous decision victory over former prize holder Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand earlier this month.
