‘Demolition In Deeside’ Card Canned After Fighter Withdrawals

Jason McClory, on behalf of Longshots Sports, has announced that the company’s second card in three days has been cancelled.

‘Demolition In Deeside’, at Deeside Leisure Centre, had been set to take place on November 20, but injuries to three fighters on the bill meant that the card was unable to go on.

It was set to be sandwiched between a bill at Chigwell’s Prince Regent Hotel, called ‘Essex Boys’, on November 19 and the Lyon Woodstock-topped ‘Lyon’ card at Aylestone Leisure Centre in Leicestershire two days later.

Matty Fagan, who won an eliminator for the English lightweight title against Adam Kettleborough last time out, was ruled out, albeit not seriously, while niggles were also picked up by undefeated Mold welterweight Cameron Halfpenny (2-0-2) and 6-0 lightweight Kerry Evans, who has five stoppages to his name.

Mason Cartwright, who was set for action in just under a fortnight’s time, is expected to box again next month, while further news on Stevie Williams’ next outing is still awaited.
