Jazza Dickens’ next fight has been confirmed.
The Liverpool super bantamweight, who won the British title against Josh Wale last time out, will fight on July 25 before another more meaningful outing in the autumn.
Dickens is set to box at the Ellesmere Port Sports Village in a tick-over contest on the undercard of Matty Fagan’s clash with Adam Kettleborough.
Fagan, 27, has a record of 7-1 and comes up against Newark’s Kettleborough (8-1) in an English title eliminator at lightweight. He’ll be joined at the newly-refurbished sports centre by gym-mates Ciaran McVarnock and Mason Cartwright.
Cartwright is undefeated in three –– all of which he has won on points –– and will box over six rounds for the first time when he takes on Faheem Khan.
Scouse light heavyweight Ryan Vaughan, English cruiserweight champion Matty Askin, undefeated Wigan man Davey Price, Leicester super featherweight Leon Woodstock and Wrexham’s Kerry Evans are also expected to feature on the bill.
Meanwhile, Derry native Tyrone McCullagh, who won an Irish senior title and a European senior bronze medal as an amateur, will make his professional debut on the show.
Elsewhere, it was today confirmed that aforementioned Dickens’ gym-mate Kevin Satchell has vacated the Commonwealth flyweight title as he prepares for the first defence of his European bauble against Thomas Masson in London in just over two weeks’ time.by
