Josh Taylor is one of the best super lightweights in world boxing and last time out on July 8th against London’s then unbeaten Ohara Davies, the twenty-six year old Taylor proved that he was ready to move onto the world stage with a punch perfect and one sided stoppage victory over his domestic rival.

On November 11th at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston, Edinburgh, the undefeated Taylor truly steps onto the world stage when he takes on Mexico’s former long-reigning IBF world lightweight champion.

Scotland’s undefeated WBC Silver and Commonwealth super lightweight champion Josh Taylor is an electric boxing talent, none more so than when he fights in his hometown of Edinburgh, Scotland. Since turning professional with the McGuigans and Cyclone Promotions in July of 2015 Taylor has lit up the British professional boxing scene with a series of scintillating performances, as well as setting the record for the least number of bouts taken to win a Commonwealth belt.

Taylor has already boxed in each of the home nations as a pro, as well as three times in the USA on big world title bills. The twenty-six year old Scotsman has also headlined live on Channel 5, attracting huge viewership last October, and boxed live on Showtime in the USA at the home of boxing, the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. On July 8th Taylor took centre stage once again when he faced his toughest opponent to date in the form of the undefeated Ohara Davies – a test he passed with flying colours.

Guadalajara, Mexico native Miguel Vazquez is one of the most experienced fighters in world boxing. The former IBF lightweight champ reigned as world champ for five long years defending his title all over the world. The thirty-year old Vazquez and has beaten a number of unbeaten opponents in the past, including Bredis Prescott, Denish Shafikov, Leonardo Zappavigna and Mercito Gesta, the last three of which were world title defences. Vazquez has only ever been beaten by the best, such as Saul Alvarez (twice) and Timothy Bradley and the teak-tough Mexican will be coming to Edinburgh looking to rip the WBC Silver super lightweight title off local favourite Josh Taylor on November 11th.
