Randy ‘El Matador’ Caballero claimed the vacant IBF Bantamweight title against Great Britain’s Stuart Hall In Monte Carlo.

With the judges scores at 116-111 (twice) and 118-110 doesn’t really give Hall any justice as it was a much closer fight over the 12 rounds.

Both fighters started the fight fast going toe-to-toe from the first bell and it was hard to split them. It was the same at the start of the second round until Hall walked on to a stiff jab from Caballero which put Hall down.

Caballero in the middle rounds was showing his superior boxing skills as he was picking his shots and using good footwork. However, Caballero looked very impressive when giving the time and space to work; less so when Hall closed the gap and pinned the American against the ropes and let his hands go.

As the final bell rang both fighters both fighters embraced each other in what was the end of a very entertaining 12 rounds of boxing.

24-year old Caballero remains undefeated with a record of 22-0, 13KO’s and with the backing of GoldenBoy Promotions can look forward to some bigger and better fights in the future.
