WBU champion “Rock Blackwell” fight’s for a greater cause then himself, he uses his fist as a vehicle to give back to the community. Blackwell understand’s the importance of being more than just a boxer, but making a difference. Taking advantage of a rare Thursday away from training camp, the light-heavy weight champion went to feed the homeless in the city of Baltimore, MD. There he served over 30+ people consisting of men, women and the general homeless population.
Rock Blackwell was very humbled by the experience. It was great watching the WBU champion bond with the less fortunate, he is truly passionate about helping those who are in need. Rock served for over two and half hours, dinner’s consisting of chicken breast, french fries, coleslaw, soda and water’s. He also prepared 30+ care packages consisting of tooth brushes, tooth paste, mouth wash, and deodorant.
